I got an MP3 player for Christmas and was able to convert my .mp3 files into .wma's to fit more songs while keeping the sound quality at a high level. Can I get any smaller without sacrificing the sound quality?

It holds 512 MB and currently have 143 songs on it. It only held around 70 when I put .mp3 files on it so that's definitley an improvement.
