I totally agree with you. People should vote on the merits of the arguements stated and not on one's own personal opinion.

We can start on monday if you wish. That would give us both time to do any research needed. Do you think two days beteen posts is enough time to respond?

i think 2 days between posts is sufficient. Monday is good, you can start, then i'll reply.

how about this, i flip a coin, if it's heads i go first.

oh, and i decree from now on a debate is called a "DK-LCBOY", in honor of the first ever debate. :-)

I'll be happy to watch your thread and make sure the two of you can debate this uninterrupted. I'll also flip the coin if you would like. I can even kick the topic off on Monday morning if you like, letting everyone know to post in the second thread instead of the debate thread.

Just let me know what I can do. ;-)

So then your role will be flip a coin and set-up the two threads on Monday. If possilbe can you flip the coin before Monday, possible today, to see who goes first? That way DK and I can be ready for Monday. I am looking forward to this...
