Cubs-Marlins Game 4

Postby Swinger » Mon Oct 13, 2003 12:22 am

I didn't watch Game 4, but being as it was a 2-hit CG shutout by Josh Beckett, I wish I had. 11 strikeouts and only one walk- admit it, you fantasy owners wish this was a regular season game and you owned Beckett.
In the 4th, Josh threw a ball near Sosa's head, in which he ducked and got rather angry at. Pudge did a great job of calming Sammy down (or so the FOX commentators claim).

The series is tied 2-2. Go cubbies! (I root for Beckett, not the marlins)

I agree with all of your post, except where you say that the series is tied 2-2. I've got a little quabble with that.

Agreed. The Cubs are leading the series 3-2, not tied at 2. One more win for the Cubs and it's off to the World Series.

Hat's off to Beckett. Very nice game tonight. ;-D

Fantastic game, though. Becketts going to be tough next year. And blister-free. And a bargain.

I loved it ...

And I carried Beckett on three teams this year ... DL and all.. :-)
I don't think he will be very cheap next year though. at least not in any of my leagues ..

True, but the Padres are not playing right now. How about GO PADRES in October next year? :-) Not looking too bad so far.

well ..... I am at least 162 games away ... and with our injury history the last two seasons, I am only going to bet 1/2 the house. :-)

But aside that....
