The C prospect for the Angels. Last year he was mentioned in several publications as a decent enough prospect. This year no one mentioned him and he had a decent enough year. .291 AVG 125G 477AB 61R 139H 29 2B 1 3B 7HR 82RBI 191TB 29BB 74SO 9SB 9CS .371 OBP .400 SLG .771 OPS. He played for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. His Ks did increase from last year where in 363 ABs he went 34 BB 44 Ks, but the season wasn't that bad. Is it just the presence of Mathis and Conger in the system that pushed him down some? I admittedly don't know much about the league so if it's a hitter league that might be a small problem. He is 22 tho

22 in A+ is not very good. Granted that catchers often take more time to develop defensively, it's not enough to write him off, but certainly something that drops his stock. One reason he is not mentioned is certainly the presence of Conger and Mathis. I also think there is concern that he will not be able to stay at catcher defensively and would therefore have little to no value if he has to move to first base.
