You remember the "X-Factor" avatar I used to use? It's actually a real bowling ball and one of the best I've ever used. I still have 3 of them. 8-o B-)

Uh, without a weight block, bowling balls would not hook. Straight balls do not strike often enough. Every bowling ball on the market with the exception of "spare" balls, have a weight block.

There are rules and specifications as to how big, heavy, how many pieces, etc, that a weight block can be or have. Stay within those guidelines, and you are complying with the rules.

Machines test the equipment that way there is nothing "opportunistic" going on. Not like in baseball where "judgement" comes in to play.

I had no Idea that anything was in them... Is there a ball inside the disk that spins or something? what makes one ball spin more vs. another?

and I guess those black balls at the Lanes don't have these disks right?
