Yeah the Mets rotation is still decent and if a guy like Pelfrey arrives or Pedro actually returns mid-season it could get even better. Not surprised the Mets didn't end up with Zito. I will be surprised if there isn't a trade at some point for a pitcher.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

TJ? No he had an operation on his shoulder (rotator cuff).

The rotation is mediocre at best. We better hope to get Pedro back in stellar form by the ASB or add someone, or it's going to be one hell of a battle in the NL East.
1. Glavine
2. El Duque
3. Maine
4. Perez
5. Pelfrey
Park and Sele will pitch out of the bullpen... Park will pitch setup, Heilman will do 7th inning work, Schoenweiss and Feliciano as lefty specialists, rookie Joe Smith as the righty specialist and Sele as the long man.
You also have Duanar Sanchez who seems to pissing off Randolph lately; he's also out of shape and his delivery changed but who knows where that places him in the bullpen. It would be huge if he could return to pre-accident form. Then you have Mota coming back after his 50 game suspension. I'd say the bullpen looks pretty good; strong enough to make up for some inevitable shaky starts from the rotation.
