Does anyone go to these sites which are supposedly managed by the players themselves? Today I noticed Soriano, Lilly and Zambrano have pages which claim to be their own and that apparently they communicate with each other just like anyone else on a myspace like site.
Mark Derosa to Lilly: "ha ha my wife got me a video ipod." B.J. Ryan: "Good luck in Chicago Ted, we'll miss you here. In Toronto". Soriano
: "hey buddy, im lookin forward to playin with you this year "
Anyway I'm wondering what you all think about the likeliness of imposters acting like players out there. A profile such as Zambrano's
seems legit, but Ted Lilly's
says this (near the top): "Who I'd like to meet:
Nolan Ryan, cause he's a lefty pitcher just like me "
So is Ted Lilly that dumb or is it the guy impersonating him?
If people are impersonating players, can they be sued or stopped?
