I hear the talks with the Braves are picking back up. If Gonzo gets moved will Torres be the closer by default?

for now hes right under gonzalez for closer so i think he would at least start the year there, last year he was 12 for 13 in save opps giving up 2 ER in 14 IP with 20K:5BB in those games... so he has shown he can get it done in the closers role.

Torres will most likely be the closer if Gonzo is dealt, but Capps will be nipping at his heels.

The last I heard there actually was another stoppage in the talks after they had again picked up.

I agree Torres will be the closer based on the fact that he took over the job when Gonzalez went down near the end of the season. Capps is a favorite of the organization's so I think sometime through the course of the year the job will become his.
