DUMB IE QUESTION

Before everyone tells me to use Firefox, I mainly use that. I just use IE for my overflow teams. I like having both open so that I can manage my teams better without logging in and out constantly. Well, I am running version 6.0 and, for some reason, my address bar disappeared recently. I am talking about where you type the URL of the site that you wish to go to. How can I get this back?? I looked around and couldn't find anything. I figure that it is an easy fix.

Use Firefox.

Have you right-clicked on the area where it should be to make sure the right bar is open? There should be a check mark next to it.

I should have mentioned that I tried that and it doesn't work. Could it be that I don't have the latest version?? I wouldn't think so.

All that it does is put the word "address" to the far right of the toolbar.

Your address bar is probably there.

You probably pulled it to the side and it appears now as a small line

Go to View Toolbars and Uncheck Lock Toolbars. Also make sure that Address bar is checked.

Then look for lines that may represent your hidden toolbar

It was unchecked but I figured it out. It had been moved. I left-clicked the word "Address" on the toolbar and dragged it to the left. The icons started disappearing but the adress bar appeared.

Yeah you probably have to drag it from left to right or the other way to get the actual place where you type to show up. If not, I have no idea.

You should just use Firefox anyways.
