Rage should make it very far in this competition.

Whatever happended to de la Rocha anyway?

De la Rocha went off to do some side projects on his own. Nothing really major, or anything signifigantly good as far as I've heard. The rest of the band went off to become Audioslave, as I'm sure most of you know. Any Audioslave fans here? I think they're a pretty good band, fairly different than Rage, but good in their own right.

Audioslave is extremely dissapointing to me. It doesn't live up to the creativity of Soundgarden or the raw edge that RATM had. They are just slightly better than the other run-of-the-mill post-grunge bands out there.

I've only listened to the debut album and thought it was above average. Nothing like RATM and Soundgarden, but better than the filler bands you find out there.

5 years ago I would have voted for RATM without pause, but the album just doesn't carry the oomph for me that it used to and Core has gotten better with age.

Sad to see Core go out to RATM. STP tends to be very underrated in my mind. They had tons of really good songs and core had quite a few of them. I never really cared for De la Rocha. I was happier with TM in Audioslave, of course I think AS is also a million times better then rage.
