I don't think AC/DC is universally considered as heavy metal.
In fact almost everybody tells me they are hard rock.

There are hundreds of bands out there that are not universally considered to fall into one exact genre. I would probably consider AC/DC to be hard rock, but the line between heavy metal and hard rock is so blurred (and in all reality pointless) that I could completely understand someone calling it heavy metal. About the only people who really get in a fit over it are usually pretentious jerks who don't want the genre of music they listen to associated with a band they dislike.

My favorite band vs. my second favorite band. I like the black album ok but if it were any album before that, I would've gone with Metallica. I took Maiden in this one but I agree that Powerslave is their best album.
