Guzman has been struggling the Domincan Winter league batting .241 with two homers in 133 at-bats for Estrellas Orientales. Guzman has played well in the minors until last seasona and was part of the Lugo deal. Rays would like to have him play 1st base or at least play well enough for him to be moved for pitching.
I have never been a huge fan, but he does have some power ability. Hopefully being in Durham full time this year at the same position can bring his potential back out of him.

I am hoping. Problem is Bankston will be at 1st, so are they going to play him at 3rd or OF or platton at 1st with Wes?
