Jeff Baker..Why is he not starting for the Rockies?

Baker could play over Hawpe if Hawpe wasn't the best defensive RF in the NL if not in baseball.

considering he only has 1 sb in his career, that pretty much shows me he doesnt have the speed to cover any ground in the spacious cf in coors.

2 completely differnet things but hey...

Baker was originally a 3B, but he was moved to the OF with the logjam at 3B. He can still play at third.

Baker will play when a lefty is on the mound.

The Rays need pitching, not Inf or OF Rocco probably won't be traded it looks Like Upton is going to be the one that is moved

Jeff Francouer would own Brad Hawpe.

The Hirsh/Tavares/Jennings deal basically sealed his fate. The Rockies were at one point trying to deal Hawpe. I'm not sure if they still have interest in doing so, but if something did happen Baker would def. be the first to take over his spot. He will most likely be a huge asset to their team coming off the bench because he can just flat out rake.
