I do not know a whole lot about this guy except his stats (which are outstanding)..2006 Had a Sept where he crushed the ball for the Rockies(.368 Ave,5HR,21 RBI in 57 AB's
), 2006 Minor league AAA .305,20HR,108 RBI in 482 AB's..In 04 he went .a combined .315,15 HR, 84 RBI in the Minors AND he's 25 Years Old..Why not Put him in Center, so what if he's not a prototypical speedy CF, I betcha he may come close to a .300+ ave, 20 HR, 80 RBI production with 500 AB's..

Plus, the Rockies recently traded for Willy Taveras, certainly a more viable candidate to man centerfield for them.
A bad three minutes at the auction can cost you three months worth of research!

atkins, shealy, holliday, helton, and hawpe
seems like a reasonable answer to why baker hasn't gotten a chance.
it's a bad strategy to base your lineup on the relative beauty of a man's outs rather than the rate at which he makes them

Baker could play over Hawpe if Hawpe wasn't the best defensive RF in the NL if not in baseball.
Hawpe has a laser cannon arm.
I'm hoping that Hawpe and Baker go to the D-Rays for Baldelli

That wouldnt happen, theyre trying to clear their OF, why would they add another

Cause Baldelli could be an allstar every year. By dropping 2 OF's and picking up one you have less OF's then when you started
