You're all fancy-pants besides me, RugbyD, acid metal and Mad.
I definitely understand metal like Slayer isn't for everyone and I'm proud to say that most metal is anti-establishment, but I think popular culture likes to undermine the metalheads at times to the point we're disrespected quite a bit. I could care less, but it has to be said.

I actually have extremely diverse tastes in music incl classical, opera, polyphonic chanting from the Renaissance (e.g. Thomas Tallis whose ouevre, like Slayer's, can be interpreted as 'anti-establishment, a Latin protest against the Reformation...), humongous fan of swirly 60s stuff (I have both Nuggets box sets in my iPod..), hip hop, jazz, shared some of Bob Stinson's Jack Daniels at a Replacements show in Champaign in 1986, all kinds of stuff. I am a bit picky but really go all over the place.
I think that it drives MrsAcidRock a bit nuts at times.

I've got a wide range of taste in music as well. Not as wide as yours though.
I'd have liked to see Metallica's S&M CD in this contest too. That one is a mainstay in my rotation.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
