That is about right, but I imagine he would be wearing either a Yankee or Red Sox uniform. :-t If Pujols ever becomes a free agent, I imagine he will be under so much pressure from the union, that he will not be able to accept the Cardinals lesser offer. That will be indeed be a sad day for the Cardinals fans and most of baseball as well. :,-(

I don't buy it, Pujols has already decided to accept less than market value to play in St. Louis b/c he is a humongous figure in the community, appreciates the support, enjoys participating in activities at his church, etc.

I don't see him playing anywhere else unless they REALLY insult him when they talk money the next time.

I think this is absolutely right. Pujols will play all of his productive years in St. Louis.

I totally agree as well. But you know, it's good to see there are still athletes like him that have a heart for the club and community knowing they could wait and be the highest paid Athlete in their sport. To me if he stays true to his word he's a modern day Clemente..

Surprisingly no; but I just found it interesting that the original posted questioned that if, in some false reality, Pujols were a Free Agent this year, what would he make; only to get answers saying Pujols will never be a free agent, is the new Roberto Clemente, etc. :-b

The same question was posed on a baseball prospectus chat the other day and it was said 10/300 wouldn't be surprising...
