So with all of the insane contracts handed out this winter, I got to thinking...
If Pujols had become a free agent this season, and didn't give the Cards a hometown discount, what do you suppose he would have been worth?

Pujols is awesome, but he's not worth $14 million a year
more than Soriano. $250 for 8 years is practically twice what Soriano got paid...I don't see that happening from any team for any player.

Yeah, I think a 10 year 250 mil or maybe a 5 year 125 mil, if this were the case, somebody may even go over the 25 mil mark..It would be interesting
