Thats what they said after the spending spree in 2000 with the A-Rod, Manny and Mussina signings. Now the whole thing has exploded again this off-season.

I think the pitching market is forever changed and will continue to explode because of the demand for any pitching. If Meche got 11 million this off-season, anything is possible. The hitters market on the other hand may cool but I dont think by much.

I agree. I mean in 2 years people will still be saying "i am worth more than gil meche". I think with these average SP getting paid and if they have crappy or average seasons, other SP that have better records are going to want to get paid the same or more.
