Jon Heyman, a writer over at SI, writes that he thinks Gil Menche is French for "money flushed down a toilet". :-D

Good game. Let's pick the "translation" for each language:

Japanese - Kaz Matsui
Korean - Chan Ho Park

I hope I have those countries of origin correct. :-o

Hee Sop Choi

Choi was nowhere near as expensive a bust as Park.

Remember from Kingpin "You got Munsoned"?

We can say "You got Meched" or "You got Gilled"

Massive hijack here, but...

Trot Nixon's Sig wrote:There is such a thing called clutch and David Ortiz is the modern day definition of it

Player Name - WPA - LI - Clutch
Albert Pujols - 9.24 - 1.03 - 2.67 (#1 overall)
Ryan Howard - 8.20 - 0.99 - 1.10 (#21 overall)
David Ortiz - 8.04 - 1.06 - 2.29 (#7 overall)

If there is such a thing called clutch, then Albert Pujols is FanGraph's definition of it.
