Since his discharge from the hospital on Oct. 23, Karch has had only three visitors -- two of them Mack and Brown. And despite invitations to school friends, not a single person other than family attended his 16th birthday celebration in November, Bissell said.
That makes me sick. That's disgusting. Are you kidding me? This kid just had his leg almost completley destroyed, and if the cannon accident was even worse he could be dead. Yet all these people from this stupid town are mad at him because they might not be able to set off some dumb cannon before the game? What a bunch of losers.
I'm sure this kid had at least some friends before the accident. And not one person showed up to his birthday party? This isn't even a small town kind of thing. Any other small town like this in America, including towns that love football WAY more than this stupid little town, I guarantee you they would be supportive of him. I bet the whole town would show up to the hospital and I bet every kid in the school would go to his birthday party.
What's bad is if the town showed how much they cared for the kid, they probably still would have gotten what they wanted. What I mean is support the kid, go to the party, take care of any medical expenses, and I seriously doubt the kid or his family would be against having the cannon used anymore.
This whole thing could have gone so much easier and better for everyone involved.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
