Lyle Overbay, and that's not just because he's an ex-Brewer. I loved this guy. An .880 OPS last year, a sweet stroke, and one of the most genuine nice guys you'll meet. He was a big fan favorite here in Wisconsin. The whole crowd would chant "oooooooooo" everytime he was at bat.
I think my favorite Overbay memory was him busting his chin open on the foul territory wall in St. Louis. He puts this goofy bandaging on, and promptly goes on a ridiculous hot streak for the next several weeks. Just blistered the ball. Then one day Carlos Lee shows up with the bandaging on his chin, and then the fans started doing it some too. Just funny stuff.
Anyway, I can't blame Melvin for trading him with the return being Dave Bush/Gabe Gross/Zach Jackson, and the team needing 1B open for Fielder, but Overbay remains my favorite non-Brewer.

That was gonna be the first thing I said.. honestly, if you can get excited about the Pirates, then it shouldn't be too hard to get excited about anything else..
Seriously, the 'Dome is actually a pretty nice place to watch a game when the roof is open (esp. sunny afternoons), and when they're playing rivals like the Yankees or the Red Sox they get a pretty good atmosphere in there..
And it's baseball!!!!.. duh
You've got a diamond, You've got nine men You've got a hat and a bat, And that's not all..
Jays are not a bad team at all. They have their weaknesses, but they also have some very talented guys at the top of the rotation and the lineup (and Ryan of course). With a few breaks, I would expect them to contend for a playoff spot. And Halladay pitching every five days is reason to get excited in and of itself.

Went to a few games last year. Had a good time at a Red Sox game, but the dome just doesn't do it for me and I haven't been to a game yet with the dome open. Lapdances at the games would definitely be a nice perk.
The Jays seem like a team that's going to tease me into thinking they're good only to fall a little short of the Yankees and/or Red Sox just about every year. Kinda like the Pirates tease me most offseasons with the thought that they might get to, well, mediocrity.
I can only get excited about the Pirates because I lived there for the first 28 years of my life and they were good when I was first really getting into baseball... back in the days of Drabek, Walk, Smiley, Bonds, Bonilla, and Van Slyke. And PNC Park is an awesome place to watch a game. Everybody roots for their hometown team.. mine just happens to suck.

If the Pirates had gotten to the World Series in '92.. the Jays still would've beaten them..
