Jennings is one of the few familar faces in the Rockies organization. Fans were sad to see a mainstay go. The average baseball fan doesn't know a lot about prospects either.
Now, to people who know a little about prospects, baseball money dynamics, etc, then we can all agree it was a good trade for the Rockies.
When Hirsh takes the mound and shows Rockies fans what he can do, I think JJ will be an afterthought.
