Keeping the fingers crossed. Mark march 5 on the calendar.

From rotoworld

Mark Prior (shoulder) threw to live hitters Wednesday, reportedly "cutting loose with his fastball and showing off his breaking ball."

Prior is scheduled to throw on the side once more before making a start Monday against the Mariners.

i honeslty truly believe he makes 28-30 starts this year. this looks like the year. call me crazy sure, but hes been strengthening his shoulder all offseason and has been shut down since mid-late last year..... dont go overboard but i think i'll be bumping him up a few spots if he makes it through fridays start with no setbacks

He's worth a late round flier at best.

Prior got shelled and yanked. His pitches were all high and his breaking ball wasn't breaking. He recorded 4 outs and gave up 3 runs on back-to-back doubles. he gave up 3 2-baggerson the outing. Rust or red flags?

We won't know anything until the game's over.

I'm sure there was some rust involved.

he admitted he wasnt finishing his pitches. for it being his first ST start in 2 years it makes sense to not throw your hardest. He wasnt good obviously but he didnt bring his full arsenal. he actually had a perfect 1st. as long as his harm isnt hurting i see it as a positive for now.
