Haha, I remember the Hootie video featuring Chris Berman. In fact, I remember when Hootie videos dominated music television. I never knew what the big deal was though. It's cool that they were a rock band with a black lead singer, but they're a little too adult contemporary for me.

Plus GNR basically rocks.

I remember a couple years ago Darius Rucker was supposed to call in to the Dan Patrick Show for a segment but ended up not being able to. Followed by them wondering where the band was, assuming they had a gig that weekend in New York or something.

The actual gig they had was at the Dubuque County Fair that weekend and everyone in my office was all excited to go! :-o

Dubuque is one of those classic places that has the band 20 years past their prime headlining the fair. Like they'll bring in Styx or Poison or some garbage like that.
