Lateralus and Tool are still way under the radar compared to Pumpkins.

Lets match them upl

Lead Singer / Lyricists: Push

Guitarist: Tool

Bass player: Tool

Drummer: Tool

Technical ability: Tool

I like the Pumpkins though so I wouldn't be horrified if this beat Lateralus just on name alone

Proves nothing. Individually, every member of Emerson, Lake and Palmer, King Crimson or Genesis was a better musician than his equivalent in the Clash, but I know which band I prefer by a country mile to the others.

I said its a tough matchup...talent doesn't designate everything. If it did Fergie would win this competition hands down

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness should win this entire thing.

I've lost all hope for the world. Lateralus losing makes me die a little bit on the inside.

Well to be fair, if we're going on talent alone, I think Cole Hamels would meet himself in the finals.

Pumpkins is more mainstream. To be honest, i never knew what the big deal was. Plus I'd like to show Billy Corgan my "Track #1"

I'm not a big Pumpkins fan either. Something about just kind of bothers me, but their sound is more friendly to the masses, Tool is a pretty big band, but they have smaller amounts of rabid followers rather than the larger amounts of Pumpkins fans. Dissapointed to see Lateralus take the fall in the matchup. :~(

I cant believe so many people like the Pumpkins. Lateralus is far and away a much better album in every way outside of maybe the really cool high pitched whining that is Billy Corgan.
