I think both will get a fair shot in the big leagues next year. The extent to which each suceeds more than the other will likely be due in large part to the rest of their team. Niether team boasts a good defense and both rely heavily on the home run.

I think Bailey will have the better season next year but it will be pretty close and either one could have a tremendous season.

Agreed, but I think it really just depends on who gets the longer look.

bailey's got a harder fastball, but gallardo is much more refined, having better secondary pitches, and better control over all pitches.

that being said, i'll take gallardo based on his home stadium, and his outfield not containing adam dunn, ken griffey, and jeff conine.
