I like the deal for us. Gload was a nice bench player for us and to get a lefty RP with some upside for him was a steal! Where is Gload going to play if you have Shealy @ 1st? Good luck to Gload anyway.

I'm not sure I like this deal either. From what I've read Gload will back up Shealy at first, but can also play some OF. If the reports are true that they will try moving Teahen to OF it would make things a little crowded. I can't see them having Dejesus, Sanders, Gathright, E. Brown, and Teahen all on the roster as OF especially if they now have another reserve who can play there. So I guess my question is, who is the next to go?

According to Kenny Williams Sisco may not be in the pen. He wants to talk to him 1st before deciding whether to put him in the pen or send him to the minors to become a starting pitcher.

Big Sox fan, hate to see Gload go. He's a sweet player with an awesome work ethic and great hitting skills. On a weaker KC team, I'll be watching for him to get some regular playing time. Maybe a decent sleeper.

I guess the royals gave up on Sisco and may have gotten a decent platoon player in Gload.Gload may be a good late round pickup in fantasy this year.

i would like to try gathright as a ss just for the helluva it. I hate berroa with a passion.
I do think this deal sucks for the royals but neither team got anything great. The royals got gload when they didnt need him alright and ws get a lowsy but can spice it up from time to time rp.
