Seriously, I've never seen so much hatred toward a band.

Luckily Nickelback didn't make it into the battle, the Creed backlash would be childlike compared to that.

I remember a great line from Brian Posehn once on that crappy show "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn". They were discussing violence in music causing children to be violent. Posehn said something along the lines of "I can see music today causing kids to lash out. For example when I hear Nickelback, it makes me want to kill Nickelback."

I wouldn't wish a Nickelback CD on my worst enemy.

I feel the same way about No Doubt, but I can save that for their appearance later.

Unfortunately, I've had to sit through one of Nickelbacks concerts. :~(

I don't care how hot the chick was, it couldn't have been worth it.

Well, the chick was my wife. I made it pretty clear that she wasn't going to get me to go to another one of those things. She made up for it by snagging some pretty sweat Clapton tix though. :-D

nice!

Nickelback might be the worst band in the history of the universe.

Beck is really really creative and his stuff although can be unlistenable is also extremely innovative the majority of the time

Man, what would you say the difference between Nickelback and Clapton is comparable to?

One reworks songs someone else made popular 10 years ago, the other reworks the same songs he made popular 40 years ago.

I always considered Nickelback to be "original garbage." Basically they wrote one original song, albeit one that sounded just like the boring junk released by 3 Doors Down, et. al., and then wrote 20 more songs that sound exactly the same.

I love how all Nickelback songs sort of have a white trash them to them too. Like, they're all remixed country songs or something, with premises ranging from "get over here and give me a BJ" to "I know I'm a drunk, but why did you REALLY divorce me Darlene???"

Yeah, it's the most white trash song I've ever heard. Plus, the lead singer of Nickelback sings that awful song from Spiderman that sounds like it starts in the middle.
