Andrew Friedman on Local Radio

Listened to Andrew Friedman on local radio today. He did not outright say tha Aki will take 3rd and BJ will not, but strongly hinted at that. He also said that at no time did they shop Carl Crwaford and they are not going to part with CC. He further went to say that we will be building from the farm system and within and only suppliment through FA because of how crazy the prices have become in the FA market. They are working on the bullpen at the moment and are looking to sign some relivers to help bolster the pen. Friedman also said that Niemann will not start the year in the Rotation b/c he has never pitched in AAA and has not pitched enough in the minors. He said he wants his pitchers to have 200 innings between AA and AAA before they come into the bigs. He also said not to expect any of the guys who ended the season in the minors to be in starting rotation. I would imagine our starting rotation will be:

Shields
Seo
Fossum
Howell

I can live with Kazmir, Shields, and Seo, but Fossum and Howell have to show some improvement or move on one. It will be interesting to see if Friedman does everything possible to sign Price next summer. He could possibly be rotation ready by early 2009.

From what i have read it looks like the rotation will actually be this
