I know there are a few car enthusiasts over here who may not venture over to the LightSide, so I thought I'd put this up here as a topic of conversation.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Would Mustang Sally drive a station wagon? Maybe she'll get the chance.
The next generation of the Ford Mustang could include some previously unthinkable variants including a four-door sedan and a station wagon, according to a report in the magazine AutoWeek.
"To a Mustang purist, this is blasphemy," said Bob Gritzinger, AutoWeek's senior editor for news.
Mustang has become a strong brand name, perhaps even stronger than Ford's famous Blue Oval, the magazine story says.
All of a sudden the girls 18-25 who have turned the Mustang into somewhat of a chick car in recent times (especially with the previous generation) will find buying a Mustang unfashionable.
I'm clueless as to why Ford would manufacture a Mustang like this too. I think most folks who buy one, buy one for the sporty muscular look and of course, the automotive enthusiast buys one because it's a Mustang after all, especially with the current one paying tribute to the Mustangs of the 60's. They surely don't buy it for the trunk space, now do they?
I think in the 1970's, an aftermarket company called Greenwood turned a C3 Corvette Stingray into a stationwagon. Pretty nasty too, but that pales in comparison to this.
Ford stops making their only family car, the Taurus, so they can alienate another section of consumers by bastardizing the mustang?
Maybe they can screw up the F-150 while they are at it and kill the company off in the next 5 years.
