So I just saw an ad from the National Cable & Telecommunications Association saying net neutrality is bad for consumers. It takes a pretty blatant swipe at Google in the ad by using the same color scheme as Google does. You can watch it here http://www.ncta.com/ContentView.aspx?ContentID=3526. What do you guys think of this? I've never seen an ad attacking net neutrality, so it really surprised me when it popped up.

I've haven't seen a pro or anti net neutrality ad either but I guess it was just a matter of time. This debate is really picking up steam. It's not a surprise that the cable companies' trade association is attacking net neutrality (and Google which is a big proponent). The cable industry stands to make a lot of money by prioritizing packet transmissions so they have a vested interest in preventing net neutrality laws.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

The last thing I want to do is give Verizon and Comcast MORE power. Google I could care less, because Google doesn't charge me ridiculous amounts of money for their services, and never will.

I just don't see how allowing Comcast to prioritize packet transactions is good for any consumer.
