The Bridge to Terabithia novel is number 9 on the 100 Most Challenged Books list. The reason? Because death is part of the plot.

Additionally, one of the characters uses the word "lord" outside prayer, and it's accused that the book promotes secular humanism and New Age religions, occultism, Satanism, and for accusations of sexual content (although there is no sexual content in the book to speak of).

Better add it to the Harry Potter bonfire.

Pretty strange when you consider the fact that the book is overtly Christian. Strange that Narnia wasn't challenged as well (or maybe it was). They did not teach this book in school in NY when I was there but I read it as part of Sunday school.

Deja Vu (wow I haven't seen a movie in a few weeks) - 5/10 - Acting was good with Denzell but the movie as a whole was only mildly entertaining. It felt like a high tech CSI episode with a lot of time travelling mechanisms we've seen in movies way too often. Wait for cable.

I think i'll just watch an episode of CSI; although I haven't been able to stomach the show or any of it's 17 spinoffs for about 2 years.

saw Lord of War finally - 6/10

a little predictable. would have liked the story to be more meaty, especially in dealing with the african situation, but it probably would have conflicted with the fast-moving style of the movie. worth a look if you haven't yet.

Peaceful Warrior - 6/10 - too long and drawn out... Lots of talk. Decent but not as good as I expected.

i saw Transformers the other night.

I give it a solid 7.5 out of 10. I liked it more than Spiderman 3.

Couple hot chicks...the kid from Even Stevens was very good.

You wouldn't expect it from his role in Even Stevens, but he has definitely become a very good actor. He's played quite a few different types of roles now and he's done very good in all of them, IMO.
