Emperor's New Groove - 20/10

This is easily my favorite hand-animated flick of all time. I watch is every few months, and I never stop laughing. If feel good kids movies are your bag...

;-)

;-D

Kronk's New Groove was pretty good too.

Yeah, that movie was suprisingly hilarious. I've been meaning to watch it again for the last few years.

I never saw it. I just assumed it would suck. I will make a point to check it out.

Thanks! ;-D

1408

I liked it quite a bit. I thought John Cusack did a very good job and the story had a lot more depth than you might think. I probably wouldnt have liked it near as much with a lesser actor. I give it a 8/10 (B-)

Everyone else is giving this pretty good ratings, Cords. I know your review was really detailed, but could you do me a favor and enumerate your thoughts a little more clearly for me.

:-D

Seriously, I would like to know what you didn't like about it.

Last three I've seen:

Black Snake Moan: From the same director of Hustle and Flow. Sam Jackson is his usual bad-ass self and Christina Ricci is smoking in this movie, including two topless scenes. If you liked H&F you should like this one.

Bridge to Terabithia: Admittedly, the trailers for this one made me think it was along the lines of LOTR and Narnia but it was actually a good story I thought. Those of you familiar with the book should be happy, they stayed mostly within the story.

Reno 911: Never really watched the series but I figured it might at least make me laugh a little. You don't really need to be a follower of the show to understand the movie so I enjoyed it. Had some really funny scenes, the hotel scene especially.

I saw Annapolis the other day - yeah I waited for cable.

I liked it.

Franco's a pretty good actor (still think of him as the guy from Freaks n Geeks)

I'm just really not into the horror/thriller genre, so I didnt expect to like it heading into the movie (group decided on 1408 so my hand was forced). There were a few scenes that I liked, but there really wasnt that much that kept me interested.

I just prefer a good comedy, or a drama that is filled with well written dialogue.

Black Snake Moan is a very good movie. I didnt really know what to expect when I rented it, but was quite suprised at how good a movie this actually was.
