Started to watch Pirates 2 because my buddies wanted to see the third one on Monday.

Watched an hour and just stopped... Hell even if I am reading a mod edit book I will finish it!

It wasn't terrible, but it didn't seem like anything new from the first at all. Just a rehash for some $$$

Pirates 2 was an awful, awful movie.

Saw Kill Bill 2 today (and never saw the first one...) and it was pretty cool. I'd say 8/10

Watched Matrix Revolutions again, still underrated (critics too critical) --> 7.5/10

Saw "The Lookout" a few weeks back. Pretty good flick. 8/10.

Watched "88 Minutes" with Al Pacino last night. I only wish the movie had been 88 minutes. Never been so disappointed in a Pacino flick. Don't waste your time. 4/10.

Saw a couple movies tonight.

Smoking Aces - 7/10
Tons of action, star studded cast. Pretty predictable movie.

Crank - 6/10
There were a some good parts but they were few and far between.
I would've given it a 4, but a sex scene in the middle of Chinatown bumped it up a couple. ;-D

last night i finally got around to watching heat from beginning to end (i know im late). ive always seen parts of it but somehow never got to watch the whole thing. easily makes my list of favorites of all time.

10/10 EASY...if you like crime, action, gangster movies, this could be the tops.

Nice to hear someone else getting to enjoy one of the finest pieces of American cinema to his the big screen. I can never say enough good things about Heat. Truly, there has never been a shootout scene quite like the one in the bank robbery from Heat. It seems so real, especially in Dolby Surround!!! :-b

Yeah, Heat's a great one. ;-D

Saw World Trade Center over the weekend. 5/10.

I just wasn't into it. My expectations might have been set high because United 93 was just so good. Whatever the case, it was still worth the watch if only because of the subject matter.

I saw the whole thing through. :-[ I'd give it 6/10. "More twists than a bag of pretzels" is how I described it over on the Light Side. They tried to get way too cute with the plot twists and the double-crosses, and even though I caught them all (and had to explain half of them to my wife, who was having trouble understanding some of the speech), I thought they were mostly unnecessary.

Slight Spoilers Follow!!

It was OK. It wasn't terrible, but the only thing to see in the last 20 minutes is the special effects work from the fighting ships. But even then you get cheated - I was hoping you'd see this huge armada naval action, but instead it's just two ships mano-a-mano. While cool, it's not remotely realistic that a giant armada of ships-of-the-line would just up and sail off when they have a collection of "the scourge of the seas" under their guns. Whatever the explanation, that was just unbelieveable.
