Saw Pan's Labrynth again last night... I give it 9.5/10. Very deep storyline and entertaining. I really think it was the best movie that came out in 2006.

We do have similar taste in movies... Pan's Labyrinth was fantastic. ;-D

I went to see it at the local theater, and several people walked out presumably because they didn't realize it had subtitles. Dolts :-b

There's nothing wrong with Shrek. I've always enjoyed watching a Disney movie that can be enjoyed by both children and adults. ;-D

Pan's was great.

Well, the wife has been out of town for the week, so I joined blockbuster online for the trial period, and have done nothing but watch movies. Here's my list:

Eragon: 3.5/10 felt like a made for T.V. Sci Fi channel movie.

The Usual Suspects: 9.5/10 Awesome movie.

Deja Vu: 6/10 Too cheesy, and predictable to me.

The Lord of War: 6/10 Too long and boring. I liked the old 80's movie with Gregory Hines better.

V for vendetta: 7/10 Good overall flick, 1984 meets Kill Bill.

Pan's Labrynth (sp?): 7/10 To me just an above avg. movie. I liked the storyline for the most part, but give me Narnia anyday.

Blood Diamond: 7/10 Would have given it higher, but I just don't like Leo at all. Probably wouldn't have watched it if it wasn't recommended to me.

Children of Men: 9/10 Great sf movie.

Finally:

The Illusionist: 10/10 I absolutely loved this movie. The only one that I have watched twice.

Apocalypto 8/10 - very tense and gripping movie. Felt stressed out at the end. Very entertaining. So what actually caused the fall of the great Mayan Civilization? Disease? Genocide? Invasion?

So saw Shrek the Third yesterday.

6/10

Story not as good as the other 2, not as funny as the other 2. Character driven so if you like the characters from the first 2 movies you will like this one. Having a kid along with you greatly enhances the experience (then again so would being stoned).
