My 7 year old daughter really wants to see this but I've yet to see one positive review. Maybe if I go into it with the lowest expectations it will live up to them.

I didn't have super high expectations and while I wouldn't describe it as good, I definitely have seen a lot worse. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 maybe and I think most kids would really enjoy it.

I was expecting. 7-7.5/10, but felt that it was closer to a 4. I do think young kids will enjoy it. I didn't know what to expect as far as a genre, but it was definitely more cheesey than I expected. I actually don't think the director knew exactly what genre he was going for either which is obviously part of the problem.

Yeah I agree with this. It was kind of serious at the beginning, then kind of cheesy, then funny, then clearly just meant for 3D for a bit and so forth. I'd say a rating of 5 for me would be generous. Wasn't a huge fan of Franco or Kunis in their roles either.

FWIW, my 18 yr old daughter saw it and was impressed. It didn't sound interesting to me, maybe I'll catch it on Netflix when it comes out.

Completely agreed on Franco & Kunis. IMO both have had a very memorable role recently (127 Hours for him, Black Swan for her), but neither is a great actor...

Argo was a pretty good political thriller, but hardly best picture worthy. Lincoln was much better.

Finally got around to The King's Speech. Loved it. I'd give it a 9.5/10. Definitely deserving of all the accolades

I liked Winter's Bone more from the 2011 nominees. King's Speech was good though.
