believe it or not, this is actually a good movie. Good action, decent story, Good acting by the CGI apes. I enjoyed it very much. ;-D

note to those that take dates to films: my girlfriend actually liked it more than I did. :-]

Ditto, from the rating, to the summary, to the fact that my gf loved this movie for some reason.

agreed on all counts as well. my girlfriend actually dragged me to it and definitely liked it more than i did, though i thought it was pretty good and a lot better than i was expecting.

James Franco probably gets her wet

Conan - 3/10
This was a terrible remake. I thought the whole time what a cheesy, low budget film. We almost walked out. Save your money...not even worth the couple bucks to rent.

Take Me Home Tonight - 3.5/10 - Topher Grace will always be the character from the 70's show and this role does nothing to dispel that.

Totally. Did you see the Predators movie with him in it? Very funny, but wasn't supposed to be.

I saw the Change-up last night and it was funnier than I thought it would be considering how many times that plot line has been done. I'd probably give it a 7/10.

Tideland - 6/10
Weeeeeiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrddddddd.
Directed by Terry Gilliam, semi-starring Jeff Bridges, though he's a corpse most of the time. This story follows a little girl with a semi-twisted imagination, no doubt the result of her abnormal childhood existence. The movie is all sorts of shocking, inappropriate, uncomfortable, funny, confusing, etc. After watching it I didn't really know what to think about the movie. I guess I appreciate the screwed up nature of it, but wasn't totally pleased with the overall execution. It seemed to lack purpose in a lot of parts, but I guess a little girl's imagination isn't overflowing with purpose either. :-S

Planet of the Apes- 8.5/10

I'm a big fan of anything Planet of the Apes, have the box set of the original 5 moves, the TV series, and the crappier 2001 movie. The movie on it's own is worthy of the rating, it doesn't really fit in with the original 5 it's more in parallel with Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. I do miss the ape costumes from the originals though.

Nope, but now you give me a good reason to skip it. B-)

That movie was good until the arguably the stupidest twist in movie history at the end.
