The Man Who Knew To Little - 6/10
Haven't seen this in a while, but I watched it again this weekend and it was prett damn funny. Not an over memorable, super-funny comedy, but Bill Murray plays the part well and you don't care how ridiculous the concept is b/c none of it is too serious. Good for a mid-level Netflix queuing.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps - 4/10
Weak. Gekko is solid, everyone else is average at best. The other characters are simple at best, there's very little expounding done on critical story elements. Too much attention is focused on the weak love story and too much real life finance stuff is glossed over. The movie just has no gravity and no reason to raw you into the story, but just to observe it.

Neato Torpedo wrote:The Town: 7.75/10 - Solid movie, almost worth the $4.25 I paid to see it, but there's better alternatives if I want to watch that type of movie. It was like the Boondock Saints plus Four Brothers with more talking, less memorable characters, and a cheap romantic subplot. The characters and acting kinda sucked (including Rebecca Hall playing an idiot) but the story and directing made up for it.

Saw The Town last Friday and I'll agree with this assessment. 7/10.

Devil 7/10

M. Night Shamalamadingdong did a nice job of recovering from what I can only assume was a depressing result from that Airbender thing he made that I will never watch.

Devil is very entertaining. A very strong story line. Is that the same as "plot"? I think so. It had a strong plot. I like his minimalist style. If it doesn't move the plot forward - its taken out, making for a very clean feeling movie. Everything has a purpose. I like that. It's also got a nice creepy vibe going for it which is what you want in a horror flick. Not bad from Mr. Slamaramabeerbong.

Will probably be cheesy, but man... those special effects are slick

i'm thinking it will have cinematic enjoyability even if it's not that good; sort of like cloverfield

I'd be inclined to give that a look. I'm probably going to be disappointed, but it has my interest.

Good Will Hunting - 9/10 - Not much to say here. Classic movie that I'm sure most people here have seen. It's been sitting on my hard drive for like a year so I figured I'd watch it on a day when I have absolutely nothing to do.

The social network - 8.5/10 - this movie is exceptionally well written and funny as well. Does a great job of keeping you glued to the screen and keeping it fast paced, even though there's no real action in it. Just a really good story (alot of which has been fabricated, i've heard, but good nonetheless). It would have been an 8, but the Winklevoss' kept me in stitches every time they were on the screen, bumping it to the 8.5..

I haven't read The Accidental Billionaires, the book from which The Social Network is based on, but from what I gather, the book itself is a dramatized and somewhat fabricated account of the Facebook story. A friend of mine met Mark Zuckerberg once and he said Zuckerberg was pretty much your typical computer science major. Quiet, somewhat shy, smart, head in the clouds type of person.

I've yet to see The Social Network and will probably see it some time this week.

Yeah, I saw the trailer during Inception and said to my friends "the part where the Facebook founder bangs supermodels and goes to work in his pajamas is probably not true".
