Loved it.
I liked that both of the antagonists were "bad guys".
Scarlett.
Probably the best movie set pre-1900 that I've ever seen, simply because they didn't make a big deal about it being 1899.
Highly highly recommended.

minus scarlett that movie was awful.

quite the opposite. it was a perfectly good movie, but she was a weak link

That's what I was thinking. :-?

obviously i mean minus the fact that she's ridiculously hot and like to look at her. i don't care at all about her acting ability.

Okay, State of Play was fantastic, and he was in it. I guess it has an outside chance.

BUT THERE'S NO WAY YOU'D GET ME TO PAY MOVIE-THEATER PRICE FOR A BEN AFFLECK MOVIE.

Good Will Hunting disagrees.

Yeah I was just going to post that. He's actually been in quite a few good films.

Fantastic films with Ben Assflaps:
Good Will Hunting
Dogma
State of Play
Malrats
Dazed and Confused
Field of Dreams

Decent films with Ben Assflaps:
Extract
Smokin' Aces
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (I actually think this was below average, but lots of people like it)
200 Cigarettes
Chasing Amy
School Ties

Everything else is pretty much crap.

umm... gone baby gone was really good and he directed that as well.

Gerry has some competition: The Time Machine. My god, this movie is horrible. I may have to give it a few days to digest before I can decide if it's worse than Gerry or not, but it's in the conversation.

The American - 6/10
Don't be fooled by the previews; this movie is very slow with small bursts of action here and there. This movie is very well shot and very well made. The performances are all good and very precise. In the end, I just didn't care about it. I walked into the movie feeling the same as when I walked out.

You're talking about the Guy Pierce version, right? Because that was indeed quite terrible. :-*

The girlfriend was in town this weekend so I was dragged to two chick flicks, but I will see The Town with some of my friends this week hopefully.

Easy A 5/10
Going the Distance 6/10

Both were somewhat enjoyable but forgettable. I definitely would not go out of my way to see them but if your wife/girlfriend/partner/etc wants to see a choice of one of these I'd lean towards Going the Distance.

Hopefully I'll be back soon to review The Town ;-D

I saw Going the Distance and it was a lot funnier than I thought. Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day were hysterical.
