Just about the only thing good about Mullholland Dr. was the lesbian scene ;-D

Saw Alice in Wonderland last night..... awful.

Obviously we all know the story but it just wasn't well done. Was expecting more out of Burton/Depp :-t

I don't get why Tim Burton is still considered a great director. He hasn't directed a good live action movie since 1992.

Been having a bit of a dvd-fest at my house........

Zodiac (2007): 9/10

A perfect storm of a movie for me:

San Francisco
1960/1970s
Whodunnit
True story

I thought this was an excellent film.

Spoiler discussion:
When they interviewed Lee Whatshisface, it was pretty obvious it was him. For example, he said he was left-handed and he had his watch on his left arm. Weird that they couldn't "ask him back to the station" for questioning, or take a footprint from his boots.

2012: 0/10
They took an interesting idea and wrecked it with cookie cutter bullplop.
I should have known this was going to happen when someone said "Get me the president" in the first 10 minutes.
A broken family with the dad who is a writer, and he just happens to save the day. Gee, I haven't seen that storyline 23 billion times before. And the family always escaped disaster by exactly 3 seconds. How coincidental.
Do yourself a favour and don't watch this.

X-Men 1 & 2: 6/10
They were OK I guess. That devil thing was a bit annoying in the 2nd one. 1 was better then 2.

River Queen: 4/10
This was interesting to me because I have watched documentaries on the Maori vs European wars of the 1800s, and it is beautifully made. Unfortunately the story is kinda boring crap.
It's worth watching for how much effort they put into it, but don't expect to be entertained.

Good Night And Good Luck: 3/10
Only two things were interesting in this.
1. Murrow.
2. Seeing someone portray Bill Paley, because I have read a book where he was a minor character.
This could have been made so much better. What a shame George Clooney was involved. :-t

Up in the Air 8/10
A tad slow but Clooney is a heck of actor and the main analogy of the movie is thought provoking. I don't like thinking so it lost a point right there.

Hurt Locker 8.5/10

Good movie, not sure if it deserved Best Picture, but Jeremy Renner was great (very hateable though). I don't want to spoil it, but it was pretty intense, emotional, great movie. It was a little long and Renner was a little too hateable, otherwise it would have been a little better. I really did like the ending though, it was very fitting. Also, a lot of the effects/graphics during the explosions were stunning, very powerful. I'd recommend it.

Outlander(2008): 6/10
Someone from the future and an alien land in 700 AD Norway, hijinks and Viking bad-assery ensue.
It was OK.

I should have taken your advice but I couldn't help myself. What a giant dog turd of a movie. %-6

There is simply no way his character is believable; rangers are ultra disciplined, he would have been fired the first time he did something like he does all movie. Add to that a war crime by a colonel, them sitting in the middle of the desert taking fire when there was a vehicle in working order sitting right there, sniping a man on the run after he just missed him sitting still?

Quite a few of head scratchers in this one that take away from its credibility.
