That's my favorite Scorsese movie, it's really underrated and easily my favorite Daniel Day Lewis movie. Considering their other work that's pretty high praise. I still can't believe Chicago got the Oscar that year.

Chicago was really good too though

The Birds (1963) - 5/10

Long.
Should have been called "The Cigarettes" with people lighting up every 5 seconds.
The good guys were too weak, as I found myself cheering on the birds quite a lot.
A "restaurant" had 65 metric tonnes of booze in it.
I liked the way it was shot, but the story was kinda ghey and weak, as was the ending.

That might be my least favorite Hitchcock movie (overall i pretty much love everything he did). Besides his classics (North by Northwest, Rear Window, Man who Knew too Much, ect...) I recommend Frenzy or Dial M for Murder

That's good to hear.
North By Northwest keeps coming on Fox Classics, but I keep missing it.

I think this was my first Hitchcock movie, can't remember - very disappointed though.
The Birds was so dated I was expecting someone to tell a joke about a chinaman doing their laundry :-t :-t :-t

I think Vertigo and Psycho are his two best. Birds was kinda, meh. I'm just not afraid of birds, even rabid ones to come at you in droves. I just feel that they'd be nothing a good tennis racket couldn't handle. He was a master at character development, that is what I enjoy most about his films.

Big Fan- 3/5 Really surprised this is a mostly unknown movie. It's about an obsessed NY Giants fan played by Patton Oswalt who does a great job. The rest of the cast is weak minus Kevin Corrigan who isn't in the movie a whole lot, but this is all about a really surprising dramatic performance by Patton.

Star Trek VI- 3/5: Good ending to the original movie series. My overall impression of all of the movies: Battling Klingons or some other living thing: Good. Battling an unknown force: Bad.

I've thought about getting the AH Masterpiece set that I think has like 8 movies, does anyone own that? I've only seen North by Northwest and Vertigo I think.

Cobb- 7/10. Its about baseball, so that is nice. Decent story and acting.
