Based on the previews this was not what I expected. I was thinking Jamie Foxx's character would be portrayed as the "bad guy" but it was very much the opposite after watching the movie
I think his questionable legal practices (what was it, "it's not about the truth, it's what you can prove in court"?) made him the bad guy up until the exploding cars scene. Until then, I think the audience's sympathies were supposed to lie with Shelton. Also, I'm trying like hell to figure out from where I recognize Gerard Butler before this movie, since I've seen exactly zero of his other films.
