Only playing at one location in town. Probably the last opportunity to see this in the theatre. Great movie. The guy that plays the SS officer is terrific. Was shocked at the end to find out that it was 2 and a half hours long. Felt like an hour and a half. It just flew by.

Really? I thought the opening scene felt like an hour and a half.

Aside from that, I did like the movie though...

Public Enemies - 8.5/10

I'm kinda biased because I found the book so great, but this was pretty good.
Depp and Bale nailed how I imagined Dillinger and Purvis to be.
Also, they got a little bit in about how Baby Face Nelson was a deranged f___wit.
A lot of the stuff I found interesting was in, and the end was dead on the money of what happened. (No Hollywood "tweaking")

SPOILERS.......

Interesting how they didn't say a peep about Bonnie and Clyde, a movie about them must be coming out later. Or maybe it would have made it too convoluted.

The only thing I didn't like about it was they couldn't find the time to show how everyone died, so they killed off about half a dozen of them at that lodge thing where nobody died in real life (if I remember correctly.) They actually didn't do Nelson's death justice, he drove around maniacally for a few days with 15 bullets in him which is a bit more epic then just being mowed down in a field.
I would have given the movie a 10/10 if it had dealt with this properly.

Ben Stiller being annoying, other characters being even more annoying. notably lacking hijinks. Jerry Stiller is funny for 5 minutes at the beginning. Senseless plot/story, if it can even be called that.

Man... if I didn't know better I'd think GiantsFan wrote this review.

he's probably right, i just read the plot summary and it sounds pretty awful, i think i remember the previews and they looked pretty awful, plus it got a 30% on rottentomatoes which is pretty awful. it's probably pretty awful.

Could the second Transformers movie be worse that the first? Yes...yes it can, and is. I have to stop letting my nostalgic childhood memories influence my movie watching decisions. I'm thinking I should just skip GI Joe all together. :-?

What am I saying? I'll probably end up watching it. :-b

I've never watched Star Trek before but ended up watching the new one and thought it was pretty good. I knew enough about the show just because of pop culture so I didn't feel lost, but I probably didn't get as much out of it either.
