Rocky Balboa 7/10
I really despised this movie when I first heard it was being made. I just thought they would make a mockery of the series. Don't get me wrong, V was pretty bad, but this is one of the only series that is actually good. Most sequels suck, but the Rocky series was solid. This movie was actually done pretty well and did the series justice IMO. I don't think it was great, but they did a solid job with it. Balboa did a nice job directing too I might say. As a side note, the guy who plays his son went to my high school, my sister had Drama with him.

Smoking Aces 7/10
I thought the movie was entertaining and that is about it. There was nothing that great about it. I think Ray Liota did a very good job in this, but everyone else was just alright, including Piven. I did want Alicia Keyes in a bad way though. She is smoking in this film. I had higher expectations for this movie.

You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...

Casino Royale 7/10 A little long, but still really enjoyable. Wish the Bond Music played earlier.

Inside Man: 7/10
It maintained a pretty entertaining plot throughout the entire movie, and both Denzel and Clive Owen were great in it, but I thought the ending would be a lot more of a twist than it ended up being. In fact, I thought the ending was kind of a dull one coming from where the movie began.

Wasn't really a fan of Inside Man. It was a bunch of smoke and mirrors for nothing. Spike Lee should stick to trying to be relevant. :*) 5/10

Casino Royale was great. Totally reinvented Bond. Can't wait for the next one. 7/10

Just watched 13 Conversations About One Thing. Several years old but it's been on my to see list for awhile. Interesting premise, great cast, great acting, pacing is a little slow. 7/10

Smokin Aces... 4/10... Just awful. I have nothing but bad things to say about this flick. What a waste of a great cast.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

The Illusionist - pretty good flick. Acted well by Norton and Giamatti. I'll give it a 7/10 - worth watching.

I was going to watch Smokin' Aces but I didn't want to ruin my image of Piven, he hasn't stood out in anything I've seen him in besides Entourage, which of course he is completely captivating in. So I think I going to rent "This film is not yet rated", seems interesting, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I sat down to watch the Empire Strikes Back after about 10 years, and I realized that it was much better than I remember it. Easily Lucas' best Star Wars film.
Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.

The last movie I saw was The Number 23, with Jim Carey and my rating for it is 5/10. It was an interesting idea for a movie but not executed properly. To many lame plot twist.

Yoda wrote:The Prestige - 8.5/10

Kept me guessing all the way through. Started off slow and I was a bit confused but after about 30 minutes into it, I was hooked. I had pretty high expectations going into the movie and it still did not disappoint. Nolan is an EXCELLENT director and I will watch any/all his movies. Bale is great once again and Jackman did a great job as well.

I agree. Just watched The Prestige this weekend. I haven't returned it yet, so I might even watch it again. :*)

I didn't think much of it when it came out in the theater and if I remember it correctly, some of you guys said it was a good movie. It truly is. ;-D
