It's a lot more real and much less romanticized than other mob flicks.

The Mothman Prophecies - 7.75/10

It's based off the only book I ever read that legitimately scared me, but only loosely. The book was more like an academic analysis/documentary and only had a very loose plot that appeared sporadically, while the movie used only that plot for two hours, and had no documentary-type parts. Overall it captures most of the same elements that made me paranoid as hell of every shadow the first time I read the book, but some of the cinematography was really overdone in an indie-art-film way, which really annoyed me. The background music was too loud and the indie-art-film cutaways were too boisterous, both of which took away from the suspenseful scenes.

Saw UP last night. Didn't really have an idea what to expect, I don't think I've even seen a trailer for it. But I have heard it getting some great reviews and drawing some crowds. Freaking spectacular. Possibly more appealing to adults than kids, but plenty for kids as well. Trying to think why I wouldn't give it a 10, but not coming up with anything. 10/10.

Wow. I'll have to check it out. Did you watch it in 3D?

Didn't know that was an option. I can't see 3D adding much to it...

I knew what to expect when I recently rented the movie and also really liked it. A few "yeah, right" moments with the high-speed car driving up the highway through oncoming cars and the whole time the boat stayed with him.

I just saw this for about the eleventh time a few days ago. Just by far the best movie I've ever seen. I could watch it another 10 times.
