Batoru Rowaiaru (Battle Royale): 9/10
Somebody recommended this to me years ago, and I finally got around to seeing it. This violent Japanese film about a "survival game" is just awesome. The messages are also much deeper than I expected they'd be. See it, you won't be disappointed.

saw it a few years ago...good stuff ;-D

if you liked that and havent seen Lik Wong (AKA Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky ) you might want to check it out (a little more over the top though)

A young man with superhuman strength is incarcerated at a prison run by corrupt officials and seeks to use his martial arts to clean up the system

FYI...if you've ever seen the Man Show opening credits where some guy gets his whole head exploded it's from that movie

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
8/10

Star Trek (2009)
9/10

Saw both this weekend. They were both really entertaining, some parts in X-men were over the top and a few computer imaged scenes were very obvious and looked extremely fake (not like anything in movies is "real" anyways). Star Trek was a great see for someone new to the series. I'm not going to go back and watch all the old stuff, but towards the end of the movie I realized I could sit and watch the next movie right away. Kept me wanting more which I guess would be a good way to decide whether the movie was good or not.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button 8/10

Very good movie, It would get a higher rating if it was a bit shorter, it nearly lost me. But it was still good, Brad Pitt did a really nice job in this movie. I was entertained greatly

It did lose me. I thought it was extremely well done and well acted but I kept fading in and out of giving a damn. }:-)

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Role Models: 7/10. Pretty funny. The little kid with the foul mouth was hilarious. :-b

I've seen Riki-Oh and I swear that's the craziest film I've ever seen. It's so violent it gets to the point I just chuckle over it. I've also seen Battle Royale a few years ago and surely worth it as well.

I think Neil Patrick Harris could be like Keanu Reeves' Robin. The movies these two could make together would be like sweet celluloid love.
