This is my first ever viewing of this film, and it is as close to perfect as i have seen in a movie in a long time. i know i get ragged on a bit about my positive reviews, but this is really a must see...Absolute perfect depiction of what hardcore drug addiction can do to a persons life. Jared Leto and Jennifer Connelly are both great( With the latter looking quite sexy, i might add) and this is really one of the best movies i think i have ever witnessed.

one of the most overrated movies ive ever seen along with boondock saints.

You didn't like Boondock? I've never seen it but some of my friends have told me that it should be #1 on my list of movies to watch.

I just looked it up on a few sites; it has a 7.9/10 on IMDb but only a 17% on Rotten Tomatoes. :-?

It's exactly this that makes people say the movie is overrated. My freshman year of college some of my new friends all ranted and raved about how it was the best movie ever, I had to see it, etc. etc. I got all hyped up. Bottom line is it's a pretty good movie that's enjoyable and entertaining, and if you had never heard anything about it you'd give it an 8 or so out of 10, but when people say it's a 10 and it's an 8, then it's overrated. You should definitely check it out, though, because it's certainly worth seeing.

I wouldn't pay much attention to Rotten Tomatoes in regard to Boondock Saints. If you look close, it went unreviewed by all major critics because the movie went straight to DVD here in the U.S. due to the Columbine murders.

12 Angry Men (1957) - 9.75/10

Loses 0.25 points because of the explanation needed for things like "A loud train was going by? How is that relevant?" :-b

-Entertaining, some parts were fairly annoying. From what I understand they stuck to the facts though which was a plus. It definitely dragged out though. By no means a must-see, but a fairly good movie ;-D

The use of Hurdy Gurdy Man by Donovan was the best soundtrack addition I can think of off the top of my head. That song was made to be used in that movie.

Twilight - 5/10 - unless you are a teenage girl, I don't think you can find anything appealing other than the fact that it is a movie about vampires.

The Chaser - 8/10 - If you enjoyed Oldboy, then you will definitely enjoy this flick. There is a ton of dark humor and this is not your ordinary serial killer thriller.

I'm searching for something to see this weekend and there is nothing. Maybe I Love You Man but even that doesn't look great.

I wish that the new Star Trek movie was out. It's just a wasteland now.

Lymelife looks really good, two Culkin's in the same movie at the same time!

Is Anybody There with Michael Cane looks pretty good too.

The Informers comes out next week and looks really good also. YAY 80's!

I wish Where the Wild Things Are wasn't so far out. :,-(
