6/10 my son wanted to watch it and so I got it last night, kinda funny movie, SPOILER ALERT

It got really sad at the end, quite surprised they let a kids movie go that sad. The dog dies and it kinda shows little clips of his life, then they have a funeral and all the kids draw him pictures and such, my son was crying so was my old lady. But it was a solid movie

i didnt think it was intended as a kids movie...it's based off a book.

lol that movie was spoiled even before it came out. i guess a lot of people read the book cuz the word was out that the dog dies. not that i would've watched it anyways.

Interesting, I've heard same very bad reviews for it from friends.

the premise of the movie is incredibly stupid, i have no idea how they could possibly make something worth watching out of it.

The movie is not really what you think it is about. It is about whether we have any role in our destiny, whether there is any choice in life.

well then the previews did an absolutely awful job because it looks terrible.

edit: it also got a 32% on rotten tomatoes which obviously isn't always correct, but is a pretty good indicator that the movie is not good.

Consensus: Knowing has some interesting ideas and a couple good scenes, but it's weighted down by its absurd plot and over-seriousness.

so basically what i said in my initial post.

I saw The Knowing on a movie website- well, all but the last 15 minutes( it just ended randomly)...I liked it alot up until that point. So when i finally see the ending, unless i absolutely hate those final 15 minutes, I`ll probably post up a good review on here.

Taken 8/10 ... There is nothing original about this movie but it is pitch perfect for the genre save the weak introduction to Neeson's "badassness" (escorting the Brittney Spears wannabe). I'm really shocked how well Liam Neeson was able to play this role and how much he brought to it. The intensity reminds me a lot of the very underrated Mamet film Spartan.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
