I passed the Gerry challenge.

7/10 for Gerry. Great setting and the characters spoke softly but carried big sticks.

Good call. That movie had some of the worst acting i have ever seen, plus the stupidest plot.

While I can understand why some people wouldn't like this movie and how it was acted, but I think Franco acted exceptionally well in this movie. I have a cousin who is in the same industry as Franco's character and he did an excellent job portraying that character.

The biggest problem I had with Pineapple Express was that at some points it tried to be a serious movie. It kind of was in between action and comedy at some points and I didn't really know what to think...

Whatever it was, I thought it was awesome.

I'm with you...probably my favorite comedy of 2008. I have some friends who really remind me of the two main characters. I thought Franco was awesome..I really enjoyed what he did with the role. Plus, I was just in a great frame of mind when I saw it...I watched it with my best friend (and when she laughs I can't help but laugh with her) and had a great time. I'm sure that helped make the movie even better than it actually was... :-b

Zach and Miri Make a Porno- 5/10: Rarely funny, very sappy, bad ending. I felt the same way about Knocked Up, these are romantic comedies... if it wasn't for blue humor and some boobs they'd be chick flicks.

Raging Bull 9/10

I liked Taxi Driver better, but found this film to be great as well. DeNiro's performance obviously carries the movie and Cathy Moriarty was the perfect choice to play LaMotta's wife. It ended pretty abruptly IMO but the final scene in the dressing room is a powerful ending.

Eh, I thought it was very funny, highly entertaining and deserving of the 7.5...Which i think constitutes as "Pretty Good". Maybe with more viewings I`ll see it as a classic comedy in the same fashion you apparently do, but my rating is how i felt about it after my first time watching.
