Yeah I felt the same way. It's worth watching for the cast and the kooky characters. But the story is extremely lacking. Seemed like a long pilot for a new HBO comedy series.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Thats an excellent way of putting it, I could totally see it being a Six Feet Under type series. I did like it, laughed pretty much the whole way through. I really liked the adopted brother character, he cracked me up and probably made the movie.

Michael Scott does!!
You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...

Pineapple Express well i shut it off after about 45 minutes because it was so terrible. it was basically just Seth Rogan and James Franco running around like idiots and screaming loudly. i just couldnt take anymore. i was watching the Extended version, so maybe it had extra yelling and running around and the rest of the movie was good, but i just didnt have it in me to find out (the wife was even less impressed)

since i didnt sit through the whole thing i will refrain from rating it, but instead list the other movies i have shut-off/walked out on (only including rentals and theatre showings)

Man that sucks...I can normally make it through any movie no matter how bad it it. The last movie I actually remember turning off because it was so lame was Shoot Em Up. I know a lot of people liked it but I thought it was absolute garbage and actually found the first 40 minutes or so painful to watch.

i think there are only like 5 movies i've ever watched that sucked so much i stopped watching in the middle:
gran torino (only time i've ever actually walked out of the theater)
hot fuzz
taxi driver
no country for old men
bourne identity

wow those were so bad, it tilts me just thinking about them.
